The Department of Antiquities, Ministry of Communications and Works, announces that, on Sunday, 30th November 2014 from 11.00 to 13.00, the renowned violinist, Peter Sheppard Skaerved (Royal Academy of Music, London) will perform at the Cyprus Museum in Lefkosia. The violinist will be performing works that he has developed at some of the world’s most famous museums (British Museum, National Portrait Gallery, Library of Congress).
The event, which is organized by the Department of Arts of the European University Cyprus, will include the artists’ musical exploration of the spaces of the Cyprus Museum, interaction with the public and the performance of works that are inspired by ancient objects on display in the Museum. At 12.30 the artist will be performing a 30-minute recital for solo violin, inspired by the Museum spaces and/or objects on display.
The event is organized within the framework of the hosting of the artist by the Department of Arts of the European University Cyprus (29 November - 4 December 2014).
